Grey Heron

The Grey Heron is the largest European heron. It is usually solitary although several birds may feed fairly close together.
Grey Herons breed colonially in tall trees near to plentiful fish supplies such as woodlands close to inland lakes, gravel pits and marshes and estuaries and coastal marshes.
