Robin

![]() The Robin with its bright red breast is a familiar bird throughout the year and especially at Christmas! Males and females look identical but young birds have no red breast and are spotted with golden brown.
Robins sing nearly all year round and have a sweet, high warble. They can be heard singing at night next to street lights. Despite their cute appearance, they are aggressively territorial and are quick to drive away intruders. Robins breed in woodlands, parks and gardens with plenty of undergrowth and they can be found across the UK in this type of habitat. Date: 24th December 2007 Location: Titchwell, Norfolk |
