Sound of Mull, Mull, Argyll

The Sound of Mull is the body of water that separates the island of Mull in Argyll and Bute from the Scottish mainland at Morven and stretches for a distance of approximately 18 miles with a maximum width of 3 miles.
It is an important waterway for CalMac ferries sailing from Oban to Mull and the Western Isles. Ferries also cross the Sound of Mull from Kilchoan to Tobermory and from Lochaline to Fishnish.
